Marquette Catholic director of athletics Katie Collignon announced Wil Cogdill as the newest leader of the Lady Blazers soccer program. Cogdill arrives at MQT with a decade of coaching experience on the local club scene.

“Wil demonstrates a number of qualities that we seek in leading our student-athletes. His experience and personality make him a great fit for one of our most competitive programs,” Collignon said.

Cogdill began his coaching career in 2003 as an assistant with United Soccer Club U-13. His next coaching stint came with Wildcats Soccer Club U-14, where he served as an assistant until 2006. A senior business manager with Astra Zeneca by day, Cogdill was tasked with his first head coaching position with Millennium Soccer Club U-16 in 2007. He moved up to the U-17 squad the following season before guiding Millennium U-18 club in 2009. He has led Michigan City Soccer Club U-14 Rec Plus each of the past three years.

Cogdill takes over for Lacey Hersman, who recently accepted a teaching position at Roncalli High School. Cogdill graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in general business administration.
