A pair of late second-half goals lifted visiting Hebron past the Marquette Catholic boys varsity soccer team Wednesday night at the Marquette Athletic Complex.
Sophomore goalkeeper Connor Donaldson made a number of dazzling saves during the first 60 minutes of the contest, but the Hawks took a 1-0 lead with just under 18 minutes remaining in regulation.
Hebron tacked on an insurance tally with seven minutes to play to record a 2-0 victory.
The loss represented the team’s first at the MAC as the Blazers now possess a 4-3 overall record.
Marquette Catholic will make a quick return to the pitch. Andrean (4-1) will play host to the Blazers Thursday evening at 7 pm CT. The tilt was originally scheduled to be held August 27th at the MAC, but rain forced the postponement.
