Competing at the Next Level

If you plan to compete athletically at the collegiate level start asking questions early and prepare yourself academically:
  • Am I on track to meet NCAA academic requirements?
  • What are the graduation rate of the athletic program and your sport at the college(s) in which you are interested?
  • Am I enrolled in the correct courses at Marquette?

(You can check to search for a high school’s list of NCAA courses here at https://web3.ncaa.org/hsportal/exec/hsAction. Search by the high school’s six-digit NCAA High School Code or six-digit CEEB/ACT Code or, if you don’t know the school’s NCAA High School Code or six-digit CEEB/ACT Code, you may search by city/state and high school name.)

Division I and Division II require student-athletes to be certified through the NCAA Eligibility Center at http://www.eligibilitycenter.org
You need to qualify academically and you will also need to be cleared as an amateur student-athlete. Choosing a college is an important decision, so choose wisely to take the first step to that road of success.
