Behind a flurry of second-half goals, Marquette won its final home match of the season Monday evening versus Oregon-Davis. Sophomore Kieran Larkin recorded two goals in the 6-0 victory.
Larkin broke open the scoring in the 56th minute with his ninth goal of the year. While senior keeper Lee Kellom and the Blazer defense kept the shutout intact, Marquette’s offense rattled off five goals in a seven-minute span to lock down the victory. Kellom and freshman Anthony Bondi combined to preserve the shutout.
Marquette (6-7-1) learned just after the conclusion of the match that they will meet Oregon-Davis again. The Blazers and Bobcats drew both byes in next week’s sectional. The two sides will square off at Newton Park with a date and time to be announced.
