Senior Colin Kenney eclipsed 1,700 career points Thursday evening in his 101st game in a Blazer uniform, but it wasn’t enough as Marquette fell 81-63 to Bishop Noll in Hammond.
Kenney, who was a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line, accumulated a game-high 31 points. Junior Jake Tarnow tossed in eight second-half points to finish in double figures with 10.
The Blazers led 13-12 at the end of the first quarter thanks to a Kenney trey in the team’s last possession.
Bishop Noll, however, went on to score 51 points over the middle stanzas to seize a double-digit lead.
Kenney recorded 10 points in the third and four in the final frame, but the Warriors held off the Blazers.
Marquette (10-8) turns right around Friday night to host Hammond Clark at the Scholl Center. JV will get underway at 6 pm with varsity expected to follow at 7:30 pm.
