Marquette dropped a 3-0 decision to powerhouse South Bend St. Joseph on Tuesday evening at the Scholl Center.
The Lady Blazers used an early 4-0 rally to tie up the opening set at 4-4; however, the Lady Indians closed the set on a 21-7 surge.
The two sides were tied at 13-all in the second set, but SBSJ took 12 of the final 14 points to move ahead 2-0.
South Bend St. Joseph went on to win the match in three sets (25-11, 25-15, 25-11).
Marquette is back in action Saturday morning at the Chesterton Volleyball Invitational.
