Competing in its third match in four nights, Marquette fell 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-14) to Andrean Thursday night at the Scholl Center.
The Blazers fell behind early in the opening set but fought their way back to within 14-10. Andrean went on to claim 11 of the next 15 points to take the first.
Marquette burst out of the gate in the second and third sets, however, Andrean clawed its way back in both.
Marquette (5-4) returns to the road next Wednesday when it visits Lacrosse (0-4). The Blazers and Tigers will square off at 5:30 pm in a JV contest with varsity to follow.
