It took the Blazers six seasons to post a regulation-course team score as low as 388, as they did Tuesday at the Plymouth Invitational held at Pretty Lake. Marquette amended that mark just one day later, combining for a 386 to lock down fifth place at the New Prairie Invite on Wednesday afternoon. Marissa Pleasant finished with a flourish, recording three pars across her final four holes. The senior guided the Blazers with an 87. Junior Alaïs Acosta shaved 20 strokes off her score at the 2025 New Prairie Invite on Wednesday, posting a 91. Acosta closed out her round with three consecutive pars. Junior Kenzie Bonez-Shepherd fired a 98 in erasing 10 shots off her scorecard from a year ago. Senior Ava Schultz carded a 110 to complete the scoring for the Blazers. Northridge coasted to a first-place finish with a team score of 322. Penn (351) edged South Bend Saint Joseph (351) for second place by virtue of its fifth score. Saint Joseph's Lucy Dunham claimed medalist honors with a 71 (-1). Marquette returns to the links Monday morning when it gets a glimpse of Sandy Pines Golf Club during the Kankakee Valley Invite. The 17-team event gets underway at 8:30 am in DeMotte.
