After a pair of lengthy and demanding matches earlier in the week, Marquette was able to cruise to a 3-0 sweep of visiting South Bend Riley Thursday evening at the Scholl Center. The Blazers rolled to a 25-11 win in the opening set before winning the second and third by a score of 25-16 and 25-17, respectively. Thursday marked the team's second sweep of the season and its first on the Scholl Center court. The Blazers (3-1) return to the court Saturday to take part in the Munster Invite. The event will be held at the Hammond Sportsplex beginning at 9 am when Marquette opposes the host Mustangs.
