Freshman Maeve Hadenfelt wasted little time making her name known on the pitch. Playing in her first prep contest, the rookie scored a goal in each half of a 9-3 setback at John Glenn High School on Thursday evening. Hadenfelt logged her first goal midway through the opening half and completed the brace in the 47th minute. The Falcons erupted for seven first-half goals, but were limited to two in the second. Senior Layla Clemons tallied the Blazers' third goal of the night in the 67th minute. Hadenfelt accounted for five shots on goal while Clemons sent four on net. Marquette (0-1) returns to the MAC Tuesday to open its home slate versus Hebron. The Blazers and Hawks are set to tangle at 5 pm.
