Marquette swept its way over Munster, Rensselaer Central, and Wheeler to take home first place at the 2026 Munster Invitational at Hammond Sportsplex on Saturday. The Blazers dispatched the Mustangs 25-23, 25-20 in the 9 am contest. Marquette then coasted to a 25-14, 25-17 triumph versus Rensselaer Central. It then clinched the title by downing Wheeler 25-16, 25-23 in the last match of the day. The Blazers have now won 11 consecutive sets dating back to their 3-1 victory over Andrean last Tuesday. Marquette (6-1) will shift its focus to Monday, when it hosts Michigan City in its Dig Pink Night. Collections and proceeds will benefit breast cancer survivors in the La Porte County area. The Blazers and Wolves will begin with a 5 pm JV match followed by varsity at approximately 6:30 pm.
