Junior Alaïs Acosta earned medalist honors Monday for the second consecutive match as the Blazers defeated South Central 159-190 on the back nine of Michigan City Municipal North Course. Acosta opened her round with four straight 4s before notching pars on No. 14 and 15. She closed out with back-to-back bogeys to finish with a 37 (+7). Senior Marissa Pleasant kicked off her round with a par on No. 10, and followed with pars on No. 13 and 15 to fire a 38. Junior Kenzie Bonez-Shepherd also amassed three pars during her round of 40. Senior Ava Schultz put an exclamation point on the victory with a 44. South Central was led by Braxtyn Wagnor's round of 40. Marquette returns to the links Wednesday afternoon when Westville visits Michigan City Municipal North for a 4 pm dual match.
