Senior Layla Clemons and freshman Maeve Hadenfelt both registered a hat trick as Marquette flexed its offensive muscle in an 11-3 victory over Hebron on Tuesday at the Marquette Athletic Complex. The tilt was bookended by junior Aggie Pezzuto, who finished with a pair of goals. She opened the scoring in the fifth minute. Clemons accounted for the Blazers' next two scores with strikes in the 15th and 18th minutes. Hadenfelt notched her first goal of the night in the 29th minute. The Hawks sliced the deficit in half with a pair of goals just four minutes apart. Clemons and junior Andie Fontanez struck just before halftime to recoup a four-goal cushion. Clemons found the back of the net for the fourth time just 30 seconds into the second half to make it 7-2. Hadenfelt nailed down the hat trick with goals in the 46th and 58th minutes. Senior Pure Joy Blakely joined the scoring barrage before Pezzuto logged the final goal of the contest in the 76th minute. Tuesday represented the program's highest single-game scoring output since August 28th, 2024, when it defeated River Forest, 15-0. Marquette (1-1) will hit the road Thursday evening when it visits Boone Grove at 5:30 pm.
