Senior Marissa Pleasant swung her way back into medalist honors Thursday afternoon at Michigan City Municipal North as the Blazers cruised to a 160-204 win over Bishop Noll. Pleasant was one of three Blazers to crack 40 on the par-30 North Course. She made par on all the even-numbered holes to finish with a 36 (+6). Junior McKenzie Bonez-Shepherd scratched across six pars during her strong round of 38. Fellow junior Alaïs Acosta played two-over-par golf through six holes to finish with a 39. Sophomore Riley Meyer scored a par on No. 2 to round out the scoring for Marquette with a 47. Marquette returns to competition Wednesday at Long Beach Country Club when it takes on La Porte and Michigan City in a triangular meet beginning at 4 pm.
