Maeve Hadenfelt spearheaded an offensive surge Monday night at River Forest that ended with the Blazers collecting a 12-0 victory over the Ingots. Hadenfelt amassed five goals and dished out three assists. The freshman has now recorded 10 goals across her first four varsity matches as a Blazer. Senior Layla Clemons scored both her goals in the first nine minutes of Monday's contest. Her first strike opened the scoring just 14 seconds into the match. Pure Joy Blakely, Aggie Pezzuto, and Grace Haverstock all found the back of the net in a first half that concluded with the Blazers holding an 8-0 lead. Junior Lila Dailey and senior Sophia Williams added second-half scores to give Marquette seven goal scorers on the night. Pezzuto and sophomore Kennedy Baker both registered two assists, while senior Jillian Downs assisted on Hadenfelt's fifth and final goal. Marquette (2-2) returns home Tuesday to host Westville at 4:30 pm.
