The Blazers struck in the first two-and-a-half minutes of their clash with Hammond Morton and never looked back in a 9-0 shutout of the Governors Thursday night at the Marquette Athletic Complex. Senior Layla Clemons and freshman Maeve Hadenfelt both recorded hat tricks while junior Aggie Pezzuto, sophomore Lila Dailey, and junior Andi Fontanez also found the back of the net. Junior goalkeeper Emma Weldy and the Blazer defense earned their second consecutive shutout, helping Marquette boost its goal differential to +7 in the young season. Marquette (3-2) will return to its home pitch Tuesday at 5:00 pm to host Wheeler.
