The Blazers continued to ride its tone-setting tendencies Wednesday night in South Bend. Marquette claimed the opening set for the 12th time this season en route to a 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 25-12) victory over St. Joseph. While the Blazers' streak of consecutive sets won elapsed at 25, the program has now won 10 straight matches. Furthermore, they are 7-0 when playing away from the Scholl Center. Marquette (11-1) will compete in the Chesterton Invitational on Saturday. The Blazers will open pool play with a 10:15 am match with Hobart followed by an 11:30 am tilt against the host Trojans. Chesterton High School accepts credit/debit cards only for admission, but does accept cash at the concession stand.
