Senior Marissa Pleasant recorded a 49 on Thursday afternoon at Valparaiso Country Club as the Blazers fell 183-210 to the host Vikings. Sophomore Alaïs Acosta rode 5s and 6s to a round of 50. Junior Kenzie Bonez-Shepherd carded a 52, and sophomore Riley Meyer posted a 59 to round out the Blazers' scoring. Valparaiso was led by medalist Kennedy Gutierrez, who shot a 35 (-2). The Blazers will see the Vikings again in a little more than 12 hours when the two schools are paired with Hanover Central and La Porte as part of the Pat Ford Invitational hosted at Beechwood Golf Club. The shotgun start is set for 9 am.
