Marquette won the time-of-possession battle Monday night at DeMotte Christian, but the Knights emerged with a 3-1 victory over the Blazers. DeMotte Christian led 2-0 at halftime before adding an insurance goal early in the second half. Freshman Maeve Hadenfelt broke through in the 77th minute to extend her scoring streak. The Blazers were awarded a penalty kick a minute later, but Layla Clemons' attempt was stopped. Marquette (4-4) will play its first of four in a row at home Tuesday when Westville visits the Marquette Athletic Complex at 5 pm.
