For the second time in three matches, freshman Maeve Hadenfelt clinched a first-half hat trick. And also for the second time in three contests, senior Layla Clemons joined Hadenfelt with a hat trick of her own. The offensive outpouring was enough for the Blazers to notch a 7-2 victory over Westville Tuesday evening at the Marquette Athletic Complex. Hadenfelt found the back of the net for her first goal two minutes into the contest. She struck again in the seventh and 13th minutes to slingshot the Blazers ahead 4-0. With Tuesday's performance, Hadenfelt now has 21 goals on the young season. Clemons scored her first goal in the sixth minute before Aggie Pezzuto joined the scoring parade in the 17th minute. Marquette, which led 5-1 at halftime, received two goals from Clemons in the second half to complete the hat trick. Pezzuto earned the assist on Clemons' second strike. The Blazers return to the MAC Thursday night to host Washington Township at 5 pm.
