Senior Tim Wadle headed in a Victor Vargas corner kick in the second half of Tuesday's road tilt at New Prairie to knot the match at 1-1. It stood up as the equalizer as both sides earned a draw. New Prairie drew first blood midway through the first half when it capitalized on a giveaway in Marquette's end. It stayed a 1-0 contest after 40 minutes. Wadle's goal came 10 minutes into the second half. Both teams had a chance to escape with a victory, but the goalkeeping and defense held its own. Senior Sean Triemstra made two key saves down the stretch to preserve the tie. Marquette (2-4-2) returns to the pitch Thursday to take on Kouts at 5 pm.
