Junior Soren Christensen went off for his first career hat trick Thursday night in a 5-0 victory of host Kouts. Christensen accounted for both of Marquette's first-half goals. His first came just 24 seconds into the match as senior Keegan Recktenwall set up Christensen for the early strike. Christensen struck again in the 21st minute to put the Blazers in command. Marquette padded its lead with three goals in the second half. Christensen completed his hat trick early in the stanza. Freshman Alex Flowers and junior Miguel Cardoso Alves added their first career goals down the stretch to polish off the win. Senior Sean Triemstra earned his third clean sheet of the season. The Blazers (3-4-2) round out the week Saturday afternoon at Ames Field when it takes on Michigan City at 1 pm.
