Marquette blanked visiting Lake Station 3-0 Tuesday night at the Scholl Center. The victory improved the Blazers' overall record to 20-3, their second consecutive 20-win campaign and sixth in the past seven seasons. Senior Sami Schenzel set the tone while on serve with a 9-0 run to open the contest. Marquette raced to a 25-3 opening-set win. The Blazers were able to showcase their depth while claiming the second and third games by a score of 25-9 and 25-5, respectively. Marquette (20-3) will travel to South Central Wednesday for a JV/varsity doubleheader that is set to kick off at 5 pm.
