Junior Rylan Dailey converted a takeaway into a goal in the eighth minute, and senior Andrew Pleasant recorded the eventual match-winner in the 23rd minute as Marquette collected a 2-1 win Tuesday at East Chicago Central. Marquette carried a 2-0 lead into the second half before the Cardinals sliced the deficit in half on a penalty kick. Freshman Declan McKee relieved senior keeper Sean Triemstra in the second half to help preserve the victory. The Blazers evened their season record to 5-5-2 with the victory and will return to the pitch Thursday night at River Forest at 7 pm.
