Marquette gathered one last time at the Elston Courts Wednesday to compete. The Blazers honored their six graduating seniors - manager Alena Huss, Asher Bane, Colin Cubberley, Jack Davila, Ellis Dunham, and Evan Lahart prior to the 5 pm first serve. Andrean claimed a 4-1 victory, but Lahart outlasted his opponent 4-6, 7-5, 10-7 in a back-and-forth marathon match at No. 3 singles. Dunham put forth a valiant effort at No. 1 before falling 6-4, 6-4. Cubberley dropped a 6-3, 6-2 decision at No. 2 singles. Bane and junior Seph Kolosci suffered a 6-1, 6-0 setback at No. 1 doubles. Brothers Jack and Abel Davila teamed up at No. 2 doubles, but fell 6-1, 6-0. Marquette will trek to Griffith on Thursday evening at 5 pm in the regular-season finale.
