Marquette toasted its five graduating seniors Monday night at the Marquette Athletic Complex before posting a 3-0 win over visiting South Bend Washington. Freshman Victor Vargas crashed the party in the third minute when he put the Blazers on top. Fellow freshman Alex Flowers extended the lead in the 34th minute with a strike that gave Marquette a two-goal cushion heading into halftime. Senior Andrew Pleasant found the back of the net with 6:43 left on the second-half clock for the Blazers' third goal of the night. Senior keeper Sean Triemstra guided Marquette to its fifth shutout of the season. Marquette's five boys soccer players from the Class of 2027 - Pleasant, Triemstra, Noah Aguilar, Keegan Recktenwall, and Tim Wadle - were honored prior to kickoff. Marquette (7-6-2) will close out the 2026 regular season on Thursday afternoon when Westville comes to town for a 4:30 pm match.
