Freshman Maeve Hadenfelt, senior Layla Clemons, sophomore Lila Dailey, and senior Pure Joy Blakely accounted for a goal each Monday as the Blazers went into Lake County and defeated Hammond Academy of Science & Technology 4-1. Hadenfelt scored 95 seconds into the contest on a Clemons-assisted goal. Clemons took her turn finding the back of the net in the 19th minute. The Hawks got on the scoreboard with four minutes remaining in the half to make it a one-goal game. Dailey provided the Blazers with an insurance tally two-and-a-half minutes into the second half. Blakely scored the final goal of the night on a feed from Andie Fontanez with three minutes left to play. Marquette (7-8) will travel to Valparaiso on Wednesday evening to take on Morgan Township in the regular-season finale at 5 pm.
