Senior Andrew Pleasant and freshman Matthew Plath wrapped up their cross country season on a high note Saturday at the IHSAA New Prairie Regional. Racing in his second regional race, Pleasant covered the 5k course in 17:36.64, good for 86th place out of 244 runners. Plath, who enjoyed one of the top freshman campaigns in the area, stopped the clock at 18:19.19. Pleasant represented the lone senior on either side of Marquette's cross country programs. The boys squad will return six of its seven sectional runners in 2027, a team that will feature three rising sophomores.
